Replacement Window Installation Process

Free in-home consultation
At your invitation, we will visit your home at a time convenient for you and discuss the best and most economical way to replace your windows. The free consultation usually takes thirty-minutes and up to 90 minutes. We do not require “both decision-makers” to be present – No Pushy Salespeople.
Detailed written estimates
Birmingham Window and Door will provide you with a written estimate, usually at the time of the consultation or within two working days. We invite everyone to check our references before making a final decision. During the consultation we can show you life-size, operating windows for you to see, touch and test our quality. We’ll also answer all of your questions and address your concerns in a friendly, low-pressure environment.
Three weeks to fulfill order
Once you give us the green light to order your windows and/or doors, we will ask for a deposit before placing the order. It will take about three weeks for standard ordered windows to arrive from the manufacturer. Custom shapes or special added features require an additional lead time. We will consult you to schedule a convenient installation time.
What to expect on installation day
Birmingham Window and Door completes most of our jobs in two days or less. Our professional installation team will protect your home and possessions at all times during the window replacement process. We make require owners to remove breakables and vehicles out of the work area before installation proceeds. Occasionally in the process of doing the contracted work, we will uncover termite or water damage. We will show any such areas to you and/or document with pictures. We will then do the repairs at an additional cost for material and labor so we can complete the installation process. Our hope is that the entire process will be pleasant from beginning to end.
